A human is a complicated and amazing creation that consists of many bodies and a consciousness or a soul, thats purpose is to control all of those bodies.
A physical body gives a potential - an experience, which is a required condition of development. When a physical body dies, all of the other bodies stay the same just like they were before death, only without the opportunity to experience. After the death of his physical body, a person stays in that same state and at that same level of consciousness like he was when he was alive. This is because the physical body provides those states and proposes them into more subtle bodies.
Materialists who do not realize the superior laws also do not know what will happen after death. They think that they will just disappear and will not exist, so they are afraid of the beyond and are scared to die. Religious fanatics think that after death they will access a wonderful world where everything is so easy, where they will be able to fly and do what ever they want. They are very weak when living in this world, so they dream about an afterlife heaven. And by doing that, they deny their current life, the real world. But actually death is a continuation of the current life, only without the physical body.
With the help of our physical senses we get to know this wonderful physical world. Our senses send out information to the more subtle bodies and then we starts to feel, to think, be to conscious, and by that we bring the information of the world into the inside of ourselves. When a human does not have a physical body he cannot accept the physical world the way it is in the real time. He sees it only in that same way he saw it before, when he did have a tool of knowledge - a physical body.
What a human has piled up and how he is here in this world, alike he will be after death except the possibility to experience will be missing. If he dies while being in a deep depression then after death he will also be suffering; if he dies in joy without having any worries then that is how he will be feeling after death. But if a human is fairly conscious and when being alive he manages to control his desires and thoughts, then he will be able to do that after death too. The desires are obedient to the will of the conscious humans.
A conscious human takes over and controls all of his bodies thus controlling his life. He chooses how to react upon the environment and the arisen situations. He chooses on his own how he should live his life. The unconscious humans who are asleep on the inside are weak, frustrated, are not able to control themselves, they do not have an inner connection with the Truth. This is why their choices are determined by their surroundings. They are not pleased with their life so they are consistently using narcotic substances to relax from the tension that they are creating themselves. How humans exist here, they are the same there, in the beyond.
If here we saw religionists who pray expecting that after death they will access heaven, then after death we will meet them again and we will see how they are still praying and waiting for heaven. If here we saw how spiteful old women fight with each other, then after death they will continue fighting and will be drowning in their aggression. While those who purify themselves in this world and choose how they should react and what to aim for, they will be able to continue it in their afterlife.
We can only understand those things that we have inside of us. Different people have a hard time understanding each other because each individual stores different experience and information inside of himself, according to which he either accepts or declines things. When one wants to be in the nature, the other might want to go to a night club. And it might be that they both will not understand each other, both thinking "how can he enjoy being in that place?". A person chooses things depending on where his soul feels comfortable, what feels close to him. Because everything that he got used to feels comfortable. But those things that he never saw, never experienced and what is against his nature will just feel uncomfortable and weird. Likewise it is in the afterlife. If here you are a loving and joyfull human then when you leave your physical body you will stay the same. Which means that those who are drowning in anger will never be able to take affect on you, because you will not have any anger inside of yourself, so the angry ones will not be able to attract you to themselves.
On Earth as it is in Heaven, what we plant here in this life, the same thing we will harvest in our next, theafterlife.
A person died, it means that he has done everything he had to do in this life. Now a time has come to go further, to another place, in a different way. His friends and family, no matter how much they loved him, they must look forward, they must continue living - their lives.
When a person dies he looses his body and continues living an afterlife with what he has brought from his past. There he meets other people. According to how conscious he is in this life and what kind of experiences he has stored, when he does meet other people he will be able to share those experiences with them. When the alive people with sorrow remembers the dead who has traveled to the spiritual reality, they withdraw him from his life and dip him into sadness and pain. In this way he is being prevented from living his life. But if the decedent is remembered with joy and love, then a positive energy if being sent which strengthens him. Depending on with what feeling they remember him, that kind of energy is being sent to him. Then the decedent is being dipped in the energy of the alive, which either make him suffer and weaken or rejoice and strengthen.
Life never stops because each person is a soul. A soul travels from one life to the other because that is the path of development - eternal. Matter is development. Since matter does not stay the same, not even for a second, it is always changing. Change is a required condition of development.
We are all walking on this path, no matter if we are aware of it or not. Right from the first breath until the last sigh, and even then when we are not breathing anymore we are always part of this path of development. And each one of us has the same amount of time to reach that aim, not more or less, just the eternity.
